Loading and Playing a DVD Movie

Your set-top DVD player is simple to operate, and PowerDVD is just as easy to run. There are three methods of starting PowerDVD:

  1. From the Start menu. Click Start | All Programs | Cyberlink PowerDVD | PowerDVD.

  2. From the desktop shortcut. The PowerDVD installation program places a shortcut icon on your Windows desktop—double-click it to start the application.

  3. Automatically upon loading a DVD. You can configure Windows XP to run PowerDVD automatically each time you load a DVD movie. The first time you load a movie, you'll see the infamous “What Should I Do?” dialog (shown in Figure 8.1). Click the Play DVD Movie using PowerDVD entry from the list and click the Always do the selected action checkbox to enable it, then click OK.
