Chapter 12. Making Movies with ArcSoft S... > Previewing Your Work in ShowBiz

Previewing Your Work in ShowBiz

When you're ready to review your work by previewing your movie, ShowBiz can preview the project in the Player window in two ways:

  1. View a single clip. Click a media square on the storyboard strip and click the Active Clip button (under the Player window) to view a still image, video clip, or transition. You can also use this setting to view effects and text or listen to audio tracks while you're using the timeline strip.

  2. View the entire film. Click the Entire Movie button under the Player window to view the entire movie—typically, this will display the “Processing” progress bar that you see in Figure 12.7, which means that ShowBiz must render (or “build”) the effects, transitions, and media elements into a single video stream. This process usually occurs each time you view the entire film if you've changed or edited anything in your movie: The longer the movie and the more effects and transitions you use, the longer the processing will take.

Figure 12.7. ShowBiz must process effects and transitions before you can watch your entire movie.
