Recording Additional Files to a DLA Disc

“Can I add more files to a DLA disc after I've ejected it?” You bet! In fact, this is yet another reason why I call creating discs with UDF programs such as HP DLA “the perfect method of burning data files.” As long as you don't make your DLA disc compatible (as I show you in the next section) and your disc has free space remaining to fill, simply load your disc back in the drive, and DLA will automatically recognize it.

In fact, with HP DLA, this process of “mounting” a UDF disc operates totally “behind the scenes”—unlike some other UDF programs, HP DLA doesn't display a dialog or any indicator that it's working, so you just load the disc and go.
