Which Team Leader Will You Be?

Successes Failures
Leaders who think it important to help people feel good about themselves. Those who are insensitive to the needs of others.
Leaders who give periodic praise to team members for meeting job requirements. Those who think praise is improper for persons who meet, but do not exceed, job requirements.
Leaders who understand that people respond better to praise for what they do well than to criticism for what they do wrong. Those who look only for what is being done wrong and consistently give only negative feedback.
Leaders who give sincere praise for reasons the receiver can understand. Those who are insincere and use praise only to get something they want.
Leaders who praise teamwork but also recognize individual contributions to final results. Those who do not go to the trouble to reward teamwork or identify individual contributions.
