Chapter 16. Virtual Teaming

The classic picture of a team is a group of athletes on the same field or court, or a group of work associates sitting around a table. In these examples, all the members are in the same physical location.

But the modern world is increasingly becoming a global village. Companies have representatives, manufacturing plants, and customers all over the planet. Problems and processes may have roots and tentacles everywhere an organization does business. Remote employees often feel disenfranchised because they may not be consulted about, or involved in, decisions that affect them.
