MISSION. What is the team’s special assignment, role or function (define the need, system or process to be addressed and its scope and boundaries)?

ROADMAP CHOICE. Which type of master plan is best for this mission?

DELIVERABLES. What outcome does the team sponsor or customer expect, how will they measure success, what are the preliminary and final deadlines?

NAME. What will the team call itself, specifying its function and primary geographic and departmental location?
