Disruptions

To prevent natural differences from disrupting team progress, good team leaders try to resolve individual issues outside of meetings. When friction is ignored or handled poorly, the team gets distracted from its work. Disruptions appear when the team feels uncomfortable, storms instead of works, gets off track, wastes time or has its progress impeded. When handled constructively, differences stimulate creativity.

When disruptions aren’t handled early enough, conflict appears as total communication breakdowns, strong emotional reactions, team members quitting, personality clashes or out of control meetings.
