By this time anyone having gone to the trouble of developing an action plan will think it’s near perfect. But what about a small dose of humility? Always consider Murphy’s Law; “That which can go wrong, will.” To avoid human and job sacrifices to Murphy’s Law, the best insurance is a little contingency planning. Obstacles to successful implementation can be obvious or hidden. Use the Contingency Planning Worksheet to help the team think through what could go wrong, what you can do to avoid it and if worst comes to worst, how you will get out of the pickle.
