Involving Stakeholders

Before you start digging into your iceberg, make sure all the right people are involved. Problems often seem to affect others in unexpected ways and you can’t assume that your team members have all the data that you need to solve the problem. A common problem recognition activity is to identify, get input and possibly involve other stakeholders.

A stakeholder is anyone with a stake in the outcome of a project, affected directly or indirectly by a problem or with approval/veto power over decisions.
