Effective problem-solving and decision-making teams keep accurate, up-to-date, legible notes. The real pay-off of good paperwork habits comes during later phases of the PS/DM Outline.

Because of the confusion factor, especially at the beginning of a problem-solving situation, all sorts of information will be mixed together. If you carefully document items as you go along, you’ll come to a decision sooner than those who do a poor job of recording the process.
