Chapter 13. The Importance of Preparation

The facilitator is typically responsible for the structure of the team meeting, including room setup, supplies, refreshments, meeting notification and agenda. Carefully planned and prepared meetings greatly enhance the team’s productivity; poorly facilitated meetings result in boredom, frustration and indifference.

A successful outcome of a team meeting relies heavily upon what goes on in the meeting. But success also depends upon what happens in preparation for the meeting.
