Explanation

Telework is an individual’s ability to complete work outside a traditional office setting. For example, a teleworker might visit the office only once or twice per week. For the rest of the week, the individual performs job duties at home, in a hotel, in a car, or at a satellite location. Advancements in technology facilitate the extent to which individuals can work outside a traditional office setting. With the increasing prominence of e-mail, fax machines, and cellular phones, individuals can now conduct business without being physically present at an organization’s office.
