Team building

There are a number of exercises that encourage team building. Some activities, such as creative brainstorming, can be done in a standard meeting room. Another common team-building exercise is to pair off team members, blindfold one of the pair, and have the other call out directions to the blindfolded team member. This type of activity might be done in an office environment, depending on the size of the office, or might be more appropriate for a private facility. Commercial exercises, such as a Ropes course , need to be done at a special facility. Team-building exercises encourage trust among and reliance upon team members, which helps to build team cohesion. Supervisors and managers should participate in the exercises to learn about the team members and demonstrate a total team effort.
