Chapter 14. Active listening

Explanation

Active listening is the intellectual process that occurs when you are engaged in what a speaker is saying. Since the rate for mentally processing words is usually much faster than anyone’s speaking rate, listeners are left to decide how to use this extra time. In active listening, this time is used to analyze the message.
