Chapter 17. Identifying conflict > Conflict content and process

Conflict content and process

The content is the issue over which the team members are in conflict. The process is the way team members handle the conflict.

In team conflict, the process is more important than the content, because the process determines the quality of the team’s productivity. Regardless of the conflict’s content, a team will reach the best solution if its process encourages members to be open to new ideas and committed to working cooperatively.
