Managing conflict

Explanation

Conflict furthers the consensus process by challenging perceptions and assumptions, enabling the team to find the most effective and creative solutions. If conflict is not managed effectively, however, it can become detrimental. If the focus of conflict shifts from issue to personalities, people will not feel comfortable sharing ideas.
