You can walk into almost any group, ask people to raise their hands if they are feeling stress today, and see hands fly up across the room. You can also ask that same group to raise their hands if they have received any training on how change and stress interrelate, and you will see hands staying down. And when you ask if they have received any instruction on how stress is increased or decreased by what they say to themselves, you will see those hands staying down again.
