Matt glanced at the group around the conference table and explained, “The area where I need to improve? I don’t even have to think about it. My problem is listening. When people talk to me, I’m practicing my response rather than hearing what they are saying. On Saturday, my wife told me again that she could barely get the words out of her mouth before I tossed her a solution. On Monday, a man at work told me that I didn’t listen. I got hit with that twice in three days. My back was to the wall. I decided I had to change from playing a mouth to playing an ear.”
