Following are two examples of desired results—one for a personal goal, the other for a professional goal. Both examples include complete details about what the process might look like for each stage and task. These are best-case scenarios. If you were using either of these plans and it failed, you could easily diagnose the weak link in the process and make revisions in that area. Keep in mind, however, that a change in one area may have a domino effect, causing changes, positive or negative, in other areas. As in a game of chess, consider how your actions affect the entire plan.
