Chapter 2. Achieving Results Means Change

Change may be a means for solving problems, but change also presents challenges and risks because you are exchanging the known for the unknown. From the time you leave your comfort zone to the time of the result, you are in a state of transition. The success of your journey—from where you are to where you want to be—is determined by how well you move through and influence that transition.

Personal and organizational change involves transforming attitudes, behaviors, and processes into getting results. To change is to be in a continual process of growth toward some new destination, be it slow (evolutionary) or fast (revolu-tionary).
