Action Planning Checklist

Use the following steps to put your working plan or “theory” together. Check off each item as you complete it.

List goals and objectives that support the mission and vision.

Outline major tasks for each goal.

Break major tasks into detailed tasks.

Determine the best case, the worst case, and the expected start and completion dates.

Estimate resource requirements.

Determine all resources needed to begin a task.

Gather resources, including tracking charts and graphs.

Incorporate strategies, tactics, and troubleshooting.

If others are involved, distribute the plan and discuss with all parties involved.

Fine-tune and issue the final plan.
