Sometimes even when you want to know more about another person, you may hesitate to ask questions because you don’t want to, fearing that it seems nosy. Usually, however, the contrary is true. Most people feel complimented when they are asked questions—they are flattered that someone is expressing interest in them.

The first key to asking good questions is tuning into your own curiosity. What do you want to know about this person? Once you know what you want to ask, use the following tips to get clear, informative answers:
