Chapter 5. Defining decisions > Assessing the core issue

Assessing the core issue

To assess the core issue, you should spend some time clarifying what you want to decide and determining how you can make such decisions. This can save time and money by helping you focus on the important aspects of the decision and identifying the core of the issue with which you are dealing.

Consider the type of decision you are trying to make and see whether it’s similar to decisions you have made in the past. Then, determine how you can make such decisions with the time and resources you would like to invest in each step of the decision making process.
