Where to Find This Answer

For a new entrepreneur, “seeing” your capital can be a challenge. Here is the best way to get a 7 on this score: find a copy of the current Pratt’s Guide to Venture Capital Sources,[1] most likely available in a good local library, and certainly available on www.amazon.com. While pricey (new is over $600 and used is about 1/6 of the new purchase price), it is rich with names and contact information of the firms that have experience in your general area of expertise. Also name the individuals who have profited tremendously by investing in your industry. They are the “smart” investors who will later find the right capital resources to further assure that their investment comes home. Who are these people?
