Examples

Obviously the ultimate unfair advantage example is what happened at Orion—the quiet, energetic, and enthusiastic support of the president of the United States. We also enjoyed other “unfair” advantages at Orion. Early in the campaign we attracted the attention of a brilliant French diplomat and economist named Dr. Odile Sarcy Chapman, who orchestrated the unanimous support of all 33 nations of the world whose official language is French. Her concern was the incredible expense of moving electronic communications traffic between those countries, particularly in a competitive game with countries who used other languages such as English. Other examples could be doing business in the Czech Republic with Czech partners who were once members of the Czech intelligence agency, or doing business with a company that owns more than 80% of a country’s media.

Dr. Market’s Observation:

If this element is weighted a 3 (the max) and you score a zero, what should you do? Go find an unfair advantage.
