Portfolio Rebalancing

As time goes by, your investments will not yield the same return, nor are they supposed to. Remember, we have short-term, intermediate-term, and long-term goals, and each calls for a different approaches to investing. As a result, you will find that your portfolio of investments will become overweighted to riskier investments. This will make more sense when we see what happens to a portfolio through an illustration.

Let's assume we have $100,000 invested as shown in Table 12-4.
