Summary

There are multiple paths to ascend the mountain, and the choices can sometimes be confusing. Some of the paths lead nowhere, some will take you on a pleasant gliding path to your destination, and some will be downright ornery. This explains why you don't just put on your backpack and start hiking. You buy a trail book, you study the weather conditions, you map out your strategy, and you develop contingency plans and determine alternate routes—at least that's the proper way to do it. Alternatively, you can be a free spirit and just ride wherever the trail takes you. The choice is yours and so are the results.
