Closing a Window

When your code has no more use for a window that it has opened, it should close it to avoid cluttering the user's screen unnecessarily. Also, if you open a window without the menu bar, new users might not know how to close the window themselves. Therefore, you should include some kind of link or button that the user can click to close the window.

For these kinds of situations, you close a window by running the Window object's close() method (JavaScript 1.0):
