Using the Location Property to Change the Displayed Page

The first part of this chapter concentrates on the Window object's location property. You may recall from Chapter 8, "Working with Objects," that certain properties also double as objects in themselves. That's the case with the location property, which also leads a second life as the Location object.

You'll learn about the Location object's properties and methods in the next couple of sections. For now, let's stick with the Window object's location property (JavaScript 1.0), which is what you use to display a specified page within the browser window:
