Chapter 7. Using window and frame Properties

Chapter 7. Using window and frame Properties

In this chapter, we’ll start working with the browser objects and HTML elements that we’ll be seeing over the next several chapters. Working with JavaScript is all about working with these objects, such as the window browser object or button HTML objects. Literally thousands of properties, methods, and events are available to you in JavaScript, and we’re going to cover them in depth in this book to give you the maximum possible programming advantage.

This chapter starts that coverage with the properties of the window object, which is the biggest browser object available, as well as the properties of windows in frames using the <FRAMESET>, <FRAME>, and <IFRAME> elements. In the next chapter, we’ll take a look at methods and events of these objects.
