Hour 14. Getting Data with Forms > Sending Form Results by Email

Sending Form Results by Email

One easy way to use a form is to send the results by email. You can do this without using any JavaScript, although you could use JavaScript to validate the information entered (as you'll learn later in this hour).

Note

The disadvantage to this technique is that it is browser-dependent. Whether it works will depend on the browser, and possibly the email program, used by each visitor to your page. In particular, recent versions of Internet Explorer and Outlook will cause this method to fail.
