6.20. Summary of JavaScript Statements

This chapter introduced each of the statements of the JavaScript language. Table 6-1 summarizes these statements, listing the syntax and purpose of each.

Label a statement within a switch statement.

An alternative to the while loop.

Loop through the properties of an object.

Declare a function.

Conditionally execute code.

Give statement the name identifier.

Return from a function or return the value of expression from a function.

Throw an exception.
try

catch (identifier) {

}

Catch an exception.

Declare and initialize variables.

A basic loop construct.
