Selecting Menu Items

In the following “Car Picker” example (see the “About These Scripts” sidebar), prospective car buyers are given a choice of a whopping three colors: Red, Green, or Blue, as shown in Figure 8.10. When the menu is not pulled down, the user sees the helpful message “Choose a color.” Because a car must have a color, you'll want to verify that the user actually picked one of the colors and didn't skip this item. Script 8.6 is all it takes.
