Coming from a background in marine biology, Dan Livingston was drawn to Web design in early 1996. His Web sites have since included high-profile clients such as Apple, Pacific Bell, and Novell. His sites have won numerous awards, and have been featured both in design books and on CNN Prime Time. His envelope-pushing DHTML site, Palette Man, has received international recognition, as well as “Cool Site” awards from Yahoo!, Macromedia, and USA Today. Dan was a Web designer and scripter at the Web design firm Clear Ink before starting his own successful design/user interface company, Wire Man Productions. He continues to produce titles for Prentice Hall's Essential series.

Micah Brown
