  • Change the movies and make your own bits.

“Skinning” sounds like a messy, medical thing to do, but it's the way you get precise control over the appearance of your components. Skins are the little graphics and movie clips that make up a component. Each component is composed of many skins. For example, the down arrow of the ScrollBar subcomponent is made up of three skins: ScrollDownArrowDisabled, ScrollDownArrowUp, and ScrollDownArrowDown.
