Chapter 15. LoadVars Object

DO OR DIE

  • Pack data into a LoadVars object before sending it off to a server somewhere.

  • Another LoadVars object can accept all data from another URL; it has to be in name/value pairs, though, like a=1&b=2.

  • You can send LoadVars data, and get back XML.

  • load(), send(), and sendAndLoad().

The LoadVars object is a way to package information for sending data to the outside world and getting data back. As we've seen in other topics, if you want to send, say, form information to a server-side script, you put that form information into a LoadVars object and then blast that data off into the Internet.
