Chapter 6. Present Yourself

Presenting yourself means taking charge of all your nonverbal communications—your energy level, your carriage, your tone of voice, your facial expression, your eye contact, and more.

That's both good news and bad news for networkers. The good news is that sheer energy is just as important as content. The bad news is that most people are unaware of how they are presenting themselves. So, no matter what words you choose, don't let your presentation of yourself send the larger message, "I'm not comfortable being here. Talking to me will be a chore!"
