Chapter 13. End with the Future in Mind > Take the Time to Keep in Touch

Take the Time to Keep in Touch

When people think about creating an active network of 50 to 250 or more contacts, they worry about how much time it will take. It takes less time than you might think.

To keep in touch, make a phone call. Send a note or postcard. Marla has postcards printed with her company logo and her picture. She keeps a few in her briefcase, so if she's caught waiting somewhere, she can write a few and send them off. Karl, a chiropractor, put a questionnaire about office stress and muscle pain on the back of his post-card and sends one to new contacts to remind them of his services.
