Get Out of Your Comfort Zone

The learning tactics that you use in your everyday business life are an ingrained part of your behavior. When you attempt to step outside of this preferred behavior set you may experience unease, and that unease can send you scurrying right back to your comfort zone. Your head and your gut will send you strong signals. “What do you mean ask someone for advice! They’ll think I’m stupid.” “What do you mean just do it! What if someone asks a question I can’t answer?”

If you are to change your behaviors and become a better learner, you need to control your anxiety and calm the voices that are urging you to return to what is known, familiar, comfortable, and successful (but narrow) for you.
