Keep your eye on the target is conventional wisdom and common sense. But keeping your eye on the target is not wise practice if you are playing tennis—or making decisions. The biggest problem in playing tennis is the normal tendency to look at where you want the ball to go, rather than to keep your eye on the ball. This causes you to miss seeing the ball clearly. Golf presents the same challenge. So does decision making.
