Chapter 11. The “Six Lens” Approach

The previous part covered generating alternative ideas through creativity, reasoning, and group dialogue. But moving from idea to implementation, in almost all organizations, takes place through proposals. So once you have an action plan in mind or on paper, how do you evaluate its merit for your organization?

Let’s say a colleague plops a draft proposal on your desk or in your e-mail with the request, “Let me have your thoughts on this.” Would you have an effective, systematic, credible game plan for developing an appropriate response?
