Chapter 19. A Positive Attitude Affects ... > Your Attitude and the People You Wor...

Your Attitude and the People You Work With

Every activity in business is connected to–and depends on–other activities. Each department is connected to other departments; to others who precede them, follow them, or work side-by-side; to subcontractors and suppliers; and to people and work groups in other time zones. Every activity in business is connected to internal and external customers.

Nothing affects these working relationships as much as the attitude of the people who are connected–people who must work together effectively to be successful. No matter what your role or responsibility is, think of yourself as a “crew member” with others like yourself–with your supervisor as the “foreman” of that “crew.” Then do your best to make this “crew” as effective as it can be. Through your attitude, do your best to make your “crew” the kind of first-rate group that every other “crew” really wants to work with.
