Chapter 5. Critical Thinking Styles

Critical thinkers generally are open and recognize many shades of gray. They understand and use the skills of critical thinking to consider different frames of reference and operate with a continual push to find new ideas and options. But there are different individual styles of critical thinking, just as there are for non-critical thinking.

We can use more than one critical thinking style at a time. In fact, the more styles we use together, the better our critical thinking. These styles lead to a deeper understanding of the situation.
