Smart organizations continuously assess what they are doing to foster enthusiasm, passion, and emotional intelligence at work. Use self-assessments, surveys, and other data gathering tools to stay in tune with your organization and people with whom you work. Invite others to participate with you in this self-awareness exercise.

Compare the business practices in your organization to those in the following list. Assess whether you do these well or could do better. Refer to explanations of the Six Strategies for Smart Organizations in the rest of Part III: “Work Smart” Strategies.
