A Place to Learn

You have rooms for eating, rooms for sleeping, family rooms, some people even have a TV room. But do you have a place to learn? Having a place that is conducive to learning can be the difference between concentrating and daydreaming, between getting down to work or wasting time. While learning can and will occur anywhere, having a special space where your primary role is “learner” can be a great asset.

First, if at all possible, your learning place should be used solely for that purpose. Set up a spare bedroom, a corner of the basement, or any other area that can be used exclusively as your study area. If this is not possible, at least move out of the normal traffic pattern in your home or go to a library.
