Stage 2:. Making the Physical Transition (S.W.A.T.)

The second stage shows you how to assume the correct listening posture for a lecture or meeting. This is the simplest and perhaps single most powerful part of the three-stage process.

The nonverbal messages that you send by physically preparing to listen almost always improve communication by showing the speaker that you are really interested. In addition, this posture sends the message to your own brain that you are there to listen and learn.
