Battling Your Personal Distractions

By becoming aware of those things that distract you the most, you can better prepare to address your own biases and weak spots. Below are tips for each of the distractions on the survey. Focus on your top five personal distractions.

TIP 1:. Noise and activity in the immediate area

Do what you can to control distractions by taking a quiet seat and limiting your view of people and activity. If you cannot control the distraction, acknowledge that it exists and then focus on your listening, not the distraction. If you have trouble seeing or hearing what is going on in a class, get there early enough next time to pick a prime seat.
