Unilateral Decision Making (BossTown)

Many businesses are based on the dictatorship approach, which assumes that most people in the business do not have access to all the information they need to make a decision. Somebody must decide and usually must decide quickly (because little planning was done). Usually that somebody is the boss. Perhaps the boss consults the group, perhaps not, depending on the situation’s urgency and whether it is easy to get feedback. Either way the boss makes the decision. After the boss decides, the citizens of BossTown usually feel ignored or angered.
