Part V: Managing Others > Managing Interruptions

Chapter 27. Managing Interruptions

Think of interruptions you face while working from home. They can be legitimate or annoying. Start with people with whom you live: your family, your housemates, your best friend who has moved in for two months while in transition during a divorce. Then expand to those beyond your home: neighbors, door-to-door sales-people, friends, telecommuter co-workers, your boss, other family members.

Step through what happened today. Think back to the interruptions of the past weeks. Anticipate any upcoming interruptions (your Mom’s summer vacation visit when you will still need to work part-time).
