Managing ourselves poses one challenge. Managing other poses another.

Office interruptions include the boss asking for a last-minute addition to a presentation due in an hour. An irate customer calls and will talk to no one other than you, the manager. The phones never stop, and ringing through to voice mail only means deferring the call until later. A new “mail waiting” rears its electronic head as soon as you forward your last piece of E-mail. The interruptions never cease.
